Virat the player of the year

In a glittering function of the cricketers of past and present in Mumbai on Monday Indian batsman Virat Kohli was named CEAT  T20 player of the year.

The former India captain Mr. Dilip Vegsarkar was conferred with Lifetime Achievement Award. R.Ashwin the Indian off-spinner won the CEAT International Bowler of the Year award and Rohith Sarma as the Indian Cricketer of the Year.

International Batsman of the Year and the Ceat International Cricketerof the Year award were given to the England batsman Joe Root.

Kohli has won the “orange cap” and named as “Player -of- the- tournment” for his amassing performance in IPL T-20 concluded on Sunday. 

“The IPL gave me the opportunity to showcase my skills. I picked up off spinat 17 was quite late, I feel, but it was first class cricket that enabled me to keep better,” Ashwin stated after receiving the award. 

Ravishastri said that Virat is ready to lead the team in all formats.

Vengsarkar said that he enjoyed ever moment of his test series and every toour and tournamnet the he played for India.
