In the wake of ruthless murder of senior lady journalist Gowri Lankesh, on-screen character Prakash Raj requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to end hush on torment of journos.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 11th State meet of the Democratic Youth Federation of India, Prakash Raj hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being silent on journalist Gauri Lankesh’s murder, and those supporters of the right wing who have been celebrating the murder on social media.
Hitting out at politicians, he further said, In UP, we don’t know whether he’s a Chief Minister or the Poojari of a temple. You know, I have 5 national awards. I think I should give them to him.
The performing artist threatened to return back all the national awards he was consulted with if the Prime Minister did not react to the Mrs Gowri’s murder. Prior too Prakash Raj requested state government to capture the offenders in the case.
Last month the journalist was shot at point clear range at her home thus far authorities have not advanced much for the situation .
