Mrs. Shushma Swaraj External Affairs minister said that China does not oppose member ship of India in NSG. It is only a taking procedure. I am hoping that we will be able convince China.

“I think that there is consensus which is being made and I am sure the India will become a member of NSG this year. NSG entry is crucial for India.” She said that New Delhi had no role in Pakisthan’s NSG application since India was not a member but added every country’s membership application ‘”should be judged on its merits.”
