President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi pressed a button in parliament’s Central Hall at midnight and lunched Goods and Services Tax (GST), India’s biggest tax reform ever.
The lunch event was attended by finance minister Arun Jaitley and other Cabinet ministers, many chief ministers and senior government officials whereas the Congress and several other opposition parties boycotted the launch.
