The Supreme court in its  decession catagollically stated that medical entrance examinations shall be conducted by the NIIT throughout India. The Supreme court has also struck down the earlier judgement headed by three judges.

The present judgement applies to all government, aided and private colleges. Ear;;ier the  judgement delivered by Mr. justice Kabir on his day of retirement was also struck down as it permitted private colleges for the conduct of entrance exams abolishing  NIIT. 

According to the experts opinion, this judgement may not be applicable in Andhra pradesh and Telangana states as the article 371D of the constitution is in force in these two states
