MEIL has made a name for itself in the execution of infra projects. This Hyderabad-based infra major proved by mettle once again by completing 70 projects in one work year. A recent study named ‘Best Projects in India’ made a special mention of MEIL’s commendable feat. Another study by Business Standard (BS-1000) listed MEIL foremost among unlisted companies in core infra sector. The same study ranked MEIL fourth on quality parameters.

MEIL has already set many records in Indian infra sector. It was entered into the Limca Book of Records for the timely completion of the Pattisam Lift Irrigation Project in Andhra Pradesh. MEIL also completed the NP Kunta Substation project in Andhra Pradesh in 7 months against the agreement period of 12 months. For this achievement, MEIL received the Best Debutante Award from the client PGCIL for being the first 400/220 kV substation project to be completed in a record number of days. In Uttar Pradesh, MEIL built WUPPTCL with an astounding 13220 MVA of power. With this project, MEIL introduced Gas-insulated substations to the Indian subcontinent. In the drinking water segment, MEIL completed the Gajwel Water Grid project before time schedule. In this manner, MEIL is recognized internationally for completing projects on-time with good quality standards. On the strength of such success, MEIL has been listed among the A-grade Indian infra companies like L&T.

MEIL operates in the verticals of irrigation, drinking water, power, hydrocarbons, transportation, buildings, and industrial infrastructure. It has gained recognition as one of the most preferred infra partner in states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, and Chhattisgarh.

Tarang, the official website of Indian Ministry of Power, declared WUPPTCL, which operated with 1500 MVA substation capacity, as the ‘Top Performer’ for the month of August 2017. The transmission capacity of the WUPPTCL project is equal to the combined transmission capacities of the two Telugu-speaking states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and only behind the transmission capacities of states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.

MEIL has also commissioned the City Gas Distribution networks in Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh, and Tumkur and Belgaum districts in Karnataka. This project aims to supply gas through pipelines to households in these districts.

MEIL has brought the waters of River Godavari to Hyderabad city by building a mammoth 735 MLD water treatment plant (WTP) at Mallaram for the GDWSS project.
