Pressure is brought on Rahul to occupy the chair of AICC President. Reluctantly Rahul has accepted it. Although Mr. Rahul’s elevation is a foregone conclusion as there is no change to his leadership, the issue is now he will return the party to power by fighting the BJP and regional paraties.
Rahul’s elevation doesnot mean Sonia’s retirement from Politics. Sonia Gandhi did not respond to questions about Rahul’s taking over as party’s President.
