Famous Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was seen in the Rajya Sabha today a couple of days after nonattendance of assigned members from the Upper House was addressed by Samajwadi Party MP Naresh Agarwal. After much clamour and criticism over his Parliament participation, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar at long last went to Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

This is the first time through Sachin Tendulkar is going to the Rajya Sabha in the ongoing Monsoon Session. Tendulkar and Bollywood performing artist Rekha have most noticeably bad participation among the nominated members to the Upper House.

As on 31st March 2017, Sachin went to just 23 of the 348 days since his nomination while Rekha went to just 18 of the 348 days. Among named individuals, Sambhaji Raje (97%) had the best participation took after by Swapan Das Gupta (90%). In any case, Tendulkar was obviously better than Rekha when it came to making questions.

While Tendulkar has asked 22 questions up until this point, Rekha, then again, has asked none. KTS Tulsi has posed most questions among nominated menbers. There are 12 nominated members in the Rajya Sabha. While two different MPs were designated in 2012 along with Tendulkar and Rekha, one was selected in 2014 and the remaining seven were assigned in 2016.

In spite of the fact that Sachin went to Rajya Sabha proceedings, he didn’t pose any questions. Boxer Mary Kom too was available in the House today. Samajwadi Party MP Naresh Agarwal had on Tuesday questioned the nonattendance of nominated members of rajya sabha and advocated them being disqualified from Rajya Sabha membership. Sachin Tendulkar and Rekha should resign if they are not interested in Parliament,” Agarwal said.
