AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is very much eager to complete the construction of Gundrevula Reservoir, says Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishnamurthy. It is also said that the people belong to the district to be relive from the water scarcity, he assured the project completion early.
A meeting held on drinking water scarcity in which Deputy Chief Minister took part at State Guest House on Thursday, discussed about the pending irrigation projects. District Collector S Satyanarayana, MLAs and officials also took part in the review meeting.Krishnamurthy addressed the officials saying the Rural Water Supply (RWS) department to ensure water supply in villages facing scarcity.

He instructed the District Collector to sanction drinking water borewells if requests are made by MLAs. He suggested the works to be done to supply water in villages if there appears any abundance of water and damaged pipelines.The Deputy CM said the RWS Superintending Engineer to identify the availability of water resources to 145 villages which are under severe drought. He said to ensure availability of water at Sunkesula Barrage for drinking water.
