Opposition leader of the state, YSRCP president YS Jagan has said that Polavaram project is undoubtedly very important, but provision of relief and rehabilitation to the tribals is equally very important. A large number of tribals and Polavaram ousters have met YS Jagan at Rampa chodavaram on Wednesday.
He said that the tribal lands are being forcibly taken away and no compensation is being given. Polavaram is possible only because of the sacrifices of the tribals. They should be recognised for their contribution. The YSRCP will continue to fight for their rights. He further said that Chief Minister Chandrababu is not showing any sympathy to the tribals and the farmers who would lose lands, while he is all sympathy for the Polavaram contractors.
