The government of Andhra Pradesh is plannig to develop tourism around the islands of Godavafi under the Akhanda Godavari project.
The A.P finance minister Sri Yanamala Ramakrishnudu who attended the five day konaseema festival said that “the state government is keen to develop each island in Godavari area as tourism spots under Akhanda Godavari project.” He also ordered the concerned heads to go ahead.
As konaseema owns natural resources and also possesses beauty tourism may be easily developed here.
Endowments Minister P. Manikyala Rao said “the state government was putting more thrust on tourism promotion in the coming days and appreciated the district administration for successfully organising the festival.”
The A.P. state Deputy C.M. Mr. Chinnarajappa said that” 350 crores are being spent to develop tourism in Konaseema.
