Our Tollywood heroes are demi-gods to their fans. So our heroes need to be role models for them. Our Tollywood celebrities tweeted wishing success for Baahubali and again tweeted on the grand success of the film.
But most of them have not even posted anything regarding the tragic stampede at Pushkarans in Rajahmundry. As many as 28 died and many more were injured in the tragic stampede on Tuesday. But, the film fraternity largely ignored it.
Tweeting about films is not bad but not tweeting on social issues and incidents such as these are important too. Even Pawan Kalyan said that he will not visit that place as it could lead to another stampede. Interestingly, he did not express his condolences in as many words. There were very few film people who expressed their condolences. Vennela Kishore gave the emergency phone numbers and kept silent. But, singer Raghu Kunche, actresses Rakul Preet and Khushbu did tweet in their condolences.
It’s time that our heroes take a leaf out of these and respond and react to tragedies that shake the conscience of every Telugu.
