Here is another shocker for TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu. His trusted lieutenant and former PA Pendyala Srinivasa Rao is under the scanner for income not commensurate with the known sources of income. From the early hours of Thursday, the IT sleuths have descended on his house in Champapet of Hyderabad and Kanchukota Apartments in Gayatrinagar of Vijayawada. The searches and seizures are going on for the last 24 hours and the sleuths have worked all through the night to scour through the documents.
Sources said that as Chandrababu’s PA, Srinivasa Rao had played a key role in awarding contracts. The sleuths have reportedly recovered several incriminating documents from his house. These raids have turned the TDP leaders jittery as they feel that the raids could provide key and sensitive leads that could take the sleuths to several people in the higher echelons of the party. What is shocking for the TDP sources is that the IT sleuths were provided protection by the CRPF police and not the local police.
Interestingly, some police officials from Macharavam police station tried to enquire about the raids, but the CRPF personnel have sent them back. Sources say that the IT officials might shift both Pendyala Srinivasa Rao and several key documents to Hyderabad.
