MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy resigns in TDP and Joins in YS Jagan party

The by-election race for a constituency in Andhra’s Kurnool district is picking up steam, with Election Commission setting 23 August as the date for polls. The fast changing landscape in Kurnool district politics took another shape with the ruling Telugu Desam Party getting a jolt today.

In a major jar to the decision Telugu Desam Party, on a day when it’s competitor Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy recorded his assignment, it’s MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy resigned from the primary enrollment of the TDP party and furthermore to his MLC post to join his brothers Silpa Mohan Reddy,who is the YSRCP candidate.

Talking on the event, Silpa Chakrapani Reddy communicated disappointment for being ignored by the party leadership in the distict. Chakrapani Reddy said he would join the YSRCP alongside his supporters within the presence of party chief and opposition YSRCP party leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Nandyal on Thursday. He is required to meet YSRCP party president YS Jagan on Wednesday evening before his participating in the party.

I had buckled down for the development of the party in whatever position I was in. I drudged persistently for the TDP over the most recent two years. Be that as it may, Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya and other TDP leaders are making baseless allegations against me and my brother Silpa Mohan Reddy,” he said.

Chakrapani Reddy hosts removed himself from the party activities as far back as Bhuma Akhila Priya was made a Minister in the Chandrababu Government. His brother Silpa Mohan Reddy had met him on Monday and looked for his help in the elections.

In this way, Chakrapani Reddy assembled a meeting with his supporters and party workers on Tuesdayto inspire their opinion. He said he will gift a victory to YS Jagan in the Nandyal by- elections.
