Naidu has foreknowledge of demonetization: YS Jagan

The opposition leader of Andhra Pradesh and YSRCP chief YS Jagan has alleged that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had foreknowledge of demonetization. Naidu managed to sell his Heritage Retail business three days before centre took the decision.

Jagan has recapped that YSRCP has always been advocating vanish the black money from politics. He reminded that even Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao is on record admitting that he had spent Rs 11 crore to win elections. He said the black money amassed by Chandrababu Naidu was used to buy off 20 MLAs and 2 MLCs of YSRCP. In neighboring Telangana, TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was caught on camera bribing a TRS MLA during MLC elections.

Even Chandrababu’s voice was caught on tape. Despite complaints, no action was taken on these issues, he pointed out. Jagan welcomed the decision of demonetization. However, he requested Prime Minister to address the problems of farmers, daily labor, small traders and unorganized sector due to liquidity issues that follows with the demonetization. YS Jagan has requested Modi to constitute a committee to look into the issues and extend the deadline for the invalidation of Rs. 500 and Rs.1000 notes.
