Updates on Kakinada Municipal elections…

Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy won comfortably from the Nandyal Assembly constituency, defeating YSRCP candidate Silpa Chandra Mohan Reddy with a margin of over 27,000 votes.
Despite being a municipal election, both parties have turned it into a prestige issue, much like the Nandyal bypoll . Subsequent to winning Nandyal by-election, the leave surveys show that TDP will win in Kakinada Municipal elections also.
The Kakinada Municipal elections was held in 48 wards in 40 divisions. In 40 divisions, a sum of 241 individuals were in shred. Out of the 48 wards, TDP-BJP (TDP – 39, BJP-9) and YSRCP have challenged in each of the 48 while Congress challenged just in 17 wards though Communist parties handled its competitors in 5 divisions.
2,29,373 voters have voted in the Kakinada Municipal elections on August 29. The surveying rate was recorded as more than 65 percent and the checking will be done on September first.
Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa have observed the whole survey campaign of Telugu Desam Party.
As per different exit surveys, Telugu Desam Party is relied upon to win 31-34 wards out of 39 wards though BJP is probably going to win 2-3 wards in the 9 wards it challenged while YSR Congress party is required to win only 12-14 wards out of 48 wards and others could pack 3 to 4 wards.
The exit survey comes about demonstrate an unmistakable order for TDP-BJP consolidate but then another significant set back for YSR Congress. Let us wait for the Kakinada Municipal election results officially .
