Earlier, RK was the target of the massive encounter planned in the Jantri forest area on the Andhra Odisha Border recently. Naxals suffered huge losses as over 31 cadres were killed in an encounter with elite anti-Naxal force, the Greyhounds. RK’s son Prithvi alias Munna was also among those killed. Since the encounter exposed, Varavara Rao has been expressing doubts about abduction of RK and has even accused the police of confining him illegally. Fearing that the cops could eliminate RK, his wife Sirisha has also filed a habeas corpus petition in the AP High Court.
