YS Jagan demanded relocate Food Park to the Coast: He accused Naidu indulging in double strand on project

Leader of the Opposition Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday demanded that the proposed Mega Aqua Food Park be relocated to the coast, 10 km from the present site. YSRCP Chief has visited the Mega Aqua Food Park affected villages and interacted with the people. The three village’s people are opposing the project strongly in view of possible shortage of water and environmental pollution as the main reasons. In his visit, YS. Jagan accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of indulging in double stand over the project.

He further blamed Mr. Naidu that his Party MPLAs, MPs and district Collector misguiding the people by saying that it was government project and there was scope for relocating it. The YSR Congress founder asked people to express their view in free and fair manner on the issue. Jagan has further said that the government had created panic among the public by using police force.

Villagers brought to the notice of Leader of the Opposition that the aqua food park would contaminate the Kantheru canal, which was the main source of water for the villages around and once the water gets contaminated, we won’t get any crops. Moreover, pollution will affect our health, local residents said. They also brought to the notice of YS Jagan that all the 20 panchayats in this region have passed resolutions opposing the project and submitted the same to the district Collector, but in hopeless. Later, Mr. Jagan has assured them that he would support their movement and question the government.
