YSRCP takes up the SCS issue in winter Parliament sessions

YSR Congress Parliamentary committee has said that the demand of Special Category Status will take up in next parliament session. If the both the Central and State governments will not come down on the issue, YSRCP would continue protest on the demand of SCS, YSRCP MPs. “Our Party Chief told with us that we would achieved the demand of SCS even by resigning to Parliament, YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy told to media.

YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has conducted Parliamentary Party meeting at his residence. He told to the MPs that SCS is the only way to develop the residual state, Andhra Pradesh. He further added in the meeting that special package is not a substitute to SCS. He takes on TDP and BJP for shifted their stand from SCS to special package. But, YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy make remainder that hosted numerous protests, including dharnas and fasts and public meetings demanding SCS.

After meeting with party chief, YSRCP MPs said that it is not a closed chapter but a burning issue. As more and more educated youth are coming out year after year seeking employment it is only the SCS that can encourage investors to set up industries that will create jobs.  YSRCP demanded that Central government cannot go back on SCS and Prime Minister Narender Modi should look it the issue and resolve despite Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has compromised with the Special Package. We will pursue with our demand for SCS and other assurances made in the State Reorganization Act, he along with MPs YV Subba Reddy, V Vijaysai Reddy has said.
