Financial services were hit on Wednesday bank and insurance employees across the Telugu states participated in one-day strike to protest against the anti-trade union and worker policies of the central government. Over 15,000 employees of various banks participated in the general strike in Telangana.
Most of the buses run by State Road Transport Organisations in AP and Telangana are kept off the roads. As many as both the state government employees (gazetted, non-gazetted and class 4 employees) are supporting the strike. However, Telanagana Revenue department officials are not participated in the strike as they are busy in re-organisation of districts in Telangana.
