K Chandrasekhar Rao pats commercial taxes wing for transition to GST

Valuing the commercial taxes department’s drive in enlisting fast usage of GST in the first fortnight itself, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday said that the office had just gotten 90 percent VAT accounts under the new GST purview.
Of the aggregate 2.16 lakh exchanges under VAT in the state, 1.92 lakh were incorporated under the GST by July 15 and they had just got their GST numbers. Mr Rao said that Telangana was one of only a few states in the country that has had successful implementation .
He said that Central government authorities have valued this development, particularly when in a few different states, there was still a lot of confusion over GST.
A few agitations have likewise been accounted for against it. The Chief Minister praised commercial taxes department’s Principal Secretary Somesh Kumar on the achievement and trusted that there would be 100 percent enlistment before the current month’s over.
Mr Rao was tending to commercial taxes department’s authorities at Pragathi Bhavan on Tuesday. The CM likewise said that the state government had requested that the Center absolved or offer concessions to granite, textiles and the beedi industry. As indicated by sources, Mr Rao was disturbed that individuals working in these enterprises would be unfavorably influenced due to the GST.
The CM trusted that the Center would react decidedly and included that this issue had been raised by the state government in the GST Council too. Mr Rao has additionally composed a letter to the Prime Minister in such manner.
