Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has set up a committee for making a policy egard to payment of salaries to Archakas in the state.
According to the reports, there are 5,800 Archakas and 650 other employees of temples are working under Endowments Department. Chief Minister KCR has constituted a committee and set a dead line to solve the all issues pertaining to Archakas by Sankranthi festival. The committee will chaired by Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy and it includes of adviser to the Government on cultural affairs K V Ramanachary, Chief Secretary SP Singh and Endowments Commissioner Shivshankar and others.
