Telangana IT Minister, K Taraka Ramarao stole the hearts of many by helping ‘Vedam’ fame Nagaiah who had resorted to begging due to extreme poverty.
KTR not only handed over Rs 1 lkh check to the poor artiste but also sanctioned old-age pension from government side.
The Telangana IT minister spoke to Rajendra Prasad, president of MAA to also assist Nagaiah in all possible ways.
“Met ‘Siricilla Ramulu’ aka Nagaiah Garu today. Handed over Rs.1 lakh as assistance from my side. Also arranged for old age artist pension through Govt. Spoke to Rajendra Prasad, president of MAA to also assist. Nagaiah incidentally is native of Guntur,” KTR said.
While Manchu Lakshmi tweeted “Hats off ram. I am so happy with all the work you are doing. Been following your work religiously.This gesture took my breath away.”
