The Telangana government is planning to organise the centenary celebrations of Osmania University as mark of Telangana Culture. The centenary celebrations of Osmania University will be held April 26 to 28, 2017.
Deputy Chief minister Kadiyam Srihari said nearly 28 committees have been formed to look into the arrangements for the occasion such as the reception committee, organizing committee, finance committee and estimates committee. He revealed that either the President or Prime Minister would be invited for the celebrations. The state government has come forward to help the funding to the university to give a face-lift its look.
TRS government would be highlighted the Telangana culture during the centenary celebrations. The government is also planning to establish the Centre for Telangana Studies for the mark of centenary celebrations. More than one crore students have graduated from this university and have brought laurels to it. Invitations will be sent to all the old students of OU,” said Srihari.
