The traffic obstructions will be cleared between the busy areas such as Madhapur and Jublihills in the capital city Hyderabad. The Telangana government has approved the construction of Cable Bridge across Durgam Cheruvu in Madhapur.
A 1,048 metre cable bridge is estimated the cost of Rs.184 crore. Once it constructed, the bridge will ease the traffic jams on the busy road of Madhapur and reduce the distance from Madhapur and Jubilee Hills to Gachibowli by two kilometres. The project has been awarded to Larsen and Toubro, the company that is building the Hyderabad Metro Rail and also deploying the CCTV surveillance for Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The project is part of the Strategic Road Development programme, a pet project of the state government.
