Telangana Assembly Elections To Be Commence On Dec-7 : Election Commission

Commencing the formal Assembly Election process, Telangana Legislative Assembly Elections Notification was issued on Monday . Nominations would be acknowledged after the Elections Notification is issued, Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar had said. The 119-part Assembly was broken up on September 6 on the proposal of the K Chandrasekhar Rao-driven government, over eight months in front of the expiry of its term, making ready for early decisions. Races are planned to be hung on December 7 and the tallying would happen on December 11.

The Election Commission on Friday forced a close month-long prohibition on holding exit surveys starting November 12 in the five survey bound states including Telangana. A notice issued by the survey board said that between 7 am of November 12 and 5.30 pm of December 7, party information and distributing or publicizing the aftereffect of leave survey by methods for print or electronic media or in some other way will be restricted .
