Telangana rulling party leader in the Lok Sabha on Thursday again requested setting up of a different high court in newly formed Telangana state, with a union minister from the Telugu Desam Party asking the legislature to make early strides in such manner.
Speaker Sumitra Mahajan needed to remind Y S Chowdary, a minister of state, of his ministerial position before he remained to talk for the benefit of Telugu Desam Party to advance his perspectives.
Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad influenced it to clear that while the Telangana high court would keep on functioning from a similar complex, the Andhra Pradesh high court would be moved to a transitory area till the time another complex is prepared.
A P Jithendra Reddy (TRS) said till the two high courts are not bifurcated, no judges ought to either be designated or lifted. To this, the Law Minister said it was the privilege of the Supreme Court collegium and he can’t give any confirmation.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the chief ministers of the two states ought to sit together to deal with the pending issues, aside from the one identifying with the bifurcation of the high courts.
The Telangana rulling party MPs had yesterday trooped into the Well of the House, demonstrating bulletins and raising mottos requesting setting up of a High Court for Telangana .
