Telangana inaugurated first of it’s kind National park for special needs in the country

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao and Deputy Chief Minister Mohd. Ali inaugurated Louis Braille Park and unveiled the statue of Sir Louis Braille at Malakpet.

The park is meant for disabled people with special needs. There were other ministers, Hyderabad Member of Parliament (MP) Asaduddin Owaisi and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner, Janardhan Reddy present.
Many visually impaired and differently abled persons are present at the event. To control the mobs who have attended, policemen were also present.
The leaders have gone to the farther end of the Park and garlanded a statue of Louis Braille.
KTR addressed the gathering at the park and Congratulated GHMC for developing it.
The park is to create a barrier-free environment for persons with disabilities. They also provided with all the facilities like physiotherapy, medicinal plants and other recreational material.
All was developed in an area of 1.03 acres. Built at a cost of Rs 1.77 crore, the park has two zones- recreation and therapy with features including therapy block, sensory theatre, lawns and centers for art, music therapies, amphitheatre and counseling are all provided.
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister, Mohd. Ali, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy also participated in the programme.
