The Mahabubnagar MP A. P. Jithender Reddy was the party’s Floor Leader in Lok Sabha . In lok sabha TRS MP Jithender Reddy asked for the Center to quickly find a way to reduce the GST rate from 12 to 5 percent on ongoing continuous ventures.

Making an submission amid Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Mr Jitender Reddy said the state government was taking a shot at ventures worth `2.3 lakh crores, including Mission Bhagiratha, irrigation activities and double bed room houses.

The sum total of what these had been taken up before the presentation of GST, he said. After improvement of the tax rate under the GST rate on construction material, the cost acceleration would be between `20,000 crore and `30,000 crore, and the state government would not have the capacity to tolerate this upgraded trouble, Mr Jithender Reddy said.

He requested that the Center come to the rescue of the state government which was looking for diminishment in GST primarily for the reason that every one of the ventures were taken up for public purposes.

The Center needs to safe the Telangana state government from this weight,” he said. Telaangana chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has said that he would write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue, and consider moving the apex court on the issue.
