Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has issued a heat wave warning for the next three days in both Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Most parts of Telangana recorded day temperature three to six degrees above average.

Ramagundem and Nalgonda saw blistering heat with temperature rising to 45 degrees while Adilabad sizzled at 44.

Normal life was also affected in towns like Karimnagar, Khammam and Warangal, where the mercury rose to 43 degrees. The situation was no different in Medak and Nalgonda.

The streets were deserted in Hyderabad and others towns in the state as people preferred to remain indoors to escape the sweltering heat.

The daily wage earners, petty traders and people living on streets were the worst-hit.

The cool drink shops, sugarcane and other fruit juice vendors and coconut sellers did brisk business.
