The ruling party bags two Corporations and one municipality! The ruling Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) Party is continuing its victory streak in elections. After registering thumping victories in GHMC and Narayankhed assembly by-elections, the party has won in urban local body elections conducted in Greater Warangal, Khammam and Achampeta Nagar Panchayat elections on Wednesday.
While it won with a clean slate in Achampeta local body, the party has secured a clear majority in Warangal and Khammam municipal corporations. The party had all the 20 wards in Achampeta, 44 divisions in Warangal and 34 divisions in Khammam municipal corporation. The polling for the local bodies were held on March 6,2016.
Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao thanked the people of the three local body elections. He said that his government would make efforts to reach out to the expectations of the people.
