World Telugu Conference to be held in a grand manner by CM KCR

On Friday, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao insisted the officials about the work to be highlighted and Telangana’s role in the development and growth of Telugu language and literature at the proposed World Telugu Conference (WTC) to be held during June in Hyderabad.

KCR instructed that scholars, literatures, Prominent personalities who have contributed to the spread of Telugu Language and literature from Andhra Pradesh, other states and also from abroad to be invited to the conference and felicitated in a grand way.
The Organising committee of World Telugu Conference met on Friday at the Pragati Bhavan.
CM said that the inaugural event of the conference should be held on June 2, Telangana Formation Day, at HICC and Prominent literary personalities, literary connoisseurs and Telugu pundits should be invited for the conference. Their travel expenses would be borne by the government.

Rao said that the conference should address different genres of Telugu language and literature.
He said,” There are many in Telangana who worked for the development and progress of Telugu language and literature. Telangana writers have shown exemplary talent in all forms of literature. Since Pothanna’s time to modern literature, literary giants have created masterpieces.”
