Telangana State Road Transport Corporation employees continue strike for merger of RTC into government. In support of TSRTC strike State wide bandh is happening today. Opposition parties, Public communities, Student communities are participating in strike by protesting along with TSRTC employees. While the RTC employees are keen on strike, the government on the other hand is making sure that the public does not face any problems.
In support to the RTC employees strike, BJP held dharna at abids in which BJP State President Dr. Lakshman and MLC Ramchandar Rao, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy participated. Along with protesters, these BJP leaders are taken under control by the police and sent to Goshamahal police station. Even at Osmania University Campus, the Student Union leaders burned the effigy of government near NCC gate. While students attempted to go out from NCC gate but Police blocked the students and got the situation under control. Due to which more frantic situation has changed. Under Jampala Rajesh leadership Telangana Student Federation (TSF) members have decided to go half naked in front of Arts College. They asked the government to consider the demands of RTC employees. Even OU Worker Unions are implementing bandh supporting RTC employees strike.
At RTC Cross roads Public Unions have supported the RTC employees protest, for which the Leaders of Unions have been arrested by the police. Vimalakka, Cheruku Sudhakar have been under control by the police. Telangana Jana Samiti Party Leaders have been arrested by the police when they tried to blockade Bus Bhavan. With protesters protesting, and with arrests by the police, the atmosphere at RTC cross roads was frantic.
