YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy got teary eyed while talking about Bhuma Shobha Nagireddy.
Thousands of people paid homage to Shobha Nagireddy on her first death anniversary at the site where she was laid to rest at the Sobha Nagireddy Ghat on Friday.
The crowd rush swelled and vehicular traffic was paralysed as YS Jagan and Bhuma Nagireddy’s family members paid rich tributes to Shobha Nagireddy.
YS Jagan unveiled Sobha Nagireddy’s statue and released a CD containing songs on the YSRCP leader on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the YSRPC chief said that Sobha Nagireddy was like his elder sister and her death is a personal loss to him.
An emotional YS Jagan recalled that Shobha was in tears when she visited him in the jail. YS Jagan almost moved to tears yet controlled himself and addressed the crowd.
Earlier in the day, several YSRCP leaders including Vijay Sai Reddy, Sujjala Rama Krishna Reddy, Ambati Rambabu and others paid floral tribute to Sobha Nagireddy.
