Most of the writers and directors nowadays are not interested in experimenting. They opt for regular stories with 6 songs, 5 comedy scenes and 4 action scenes.
Well-known writer Kona Venkat says that he wants to do films that entertain the audience and no matter even if they are monotonous and give a feel of déjà vu. Such movies are filled with routine stories and double entendres.
But writer-turned-director Koratala Siva is moving away from such routine films these days. His first film Mirchi was all about ‘loving all and getting love back in return.’ His second film Srimanthudu is also about a rich person adopting a village and solving its problems. These two storylines look a bit off-beat. Siva dealt his first film successfully by adding all the commercial aspects and making it appeal to everyone.
His next film Srimanthudu will be released soon and if this film gets good response, then our present pattern could change a bit and we can hope to get fresh storylines.
