Aamir Khan’s ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ has been news for a long time on casting of its leading actress. A few days back, reports was that the Dangal actress Fatima Sana Shaikh has been finalised as lead actress in the film.
Now, the wondering thing is Fatima will not play a daughter or student of Aamir but, will be romancing with him. There are a lot of people, spoke against the pairing. The age gap between the actors is making annoy.
In an interview, Fatima Sana Shaikh said,” I knew that people are going to think like this. I am an actor after all. Suppose if I hadn’t acted in Dangal, and got an offer to act opposite Aamir sir, I would have, of course, said yes. Even today, if I am asked to act opposite Shah Rukh Khan, I would stand in the frame immediately. When you have grown up watching these stars and are fond of them, you would definitely want to work with them. I used to get disheartened and sad (when I heard such things), because I thought, ‘Me playing his daughter in the film shouldn’t be the reason for me not getting the part’. There have been so many instances of (female) actors playing mothers, daughters and lovers (with the same male actors). That’s our job, and you keep playing different characters from different age groups. So, I don’t have any issues.”
This is not the first time that the film will see unusual pairing. We have seen many unusual pairing in the past such as Amitabh Bachchan and Jiah Khan in Nishabd, Amitabh Bachchan and Tabu in Cheeni Kam and are many actors like.

Now, the update is that Katrina Kaif will be rolling up not Fatima.
A source said,” Aditya Chopra loved Aamir Khan’s pairing with Katrina in Dhoom 3. Salman had also recommended her name, so Aditya really wanted her to be a part of Thugs of Hindostan. His team approached Katrina with the part and she has accepted it.”
Thugs of Hindostan is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and will hit the theatres around Diwali next year.
