Atleast five persons were killed and over 119 others were injured in a major blast occured in a chemical factory in Mumbai. Fire caught the nearby factories also where atleast 25 persons injured. The blast rocked the residencial buildings with in a radius of 1.5 kms.

The blast shattered window pains, and melting metal grills,doors and shops causing multiple injuries. The CM of Maharastra visited the accident site and also the hospital where the injured admitted.

 The minister for PWD said, “We will ensure that the cause of the blast is determined and that all workers affected by the blast will be compensated duely.
