Mudragada Padmanabam the leader of “kapunadu” was arrested on Thursday evening at his resildence in Kirlampudi of East Godavari district, amid highdrama and tension hours after he started an indefinite fast.
The police broke open the doors and entered into Mudragada’s house forcibly and stopped Mudragada from consuming the pesticide which was kept by his side. Later the police took him forcibly to the Vidyavidhabna hospital in Rajahmundry, where the doctors washed his stomach as a precautionary measure. His blood samples were collected for analysis. Mr. Mudragada said that he would continue his indefinite fast in the hospital also.
