The governement of Telangana appointed a five member comittee headed CS in September last year to recommend for the creation new districts. The comittee’s report is expected by the end of May 2016.
The governement contemplated to hold up the proposals pending clearance from the Central government. Mr.KCR discussed the formation of the new districts and new mandals with Deputy CM Mahamood Ali and officials. The government may announce the new districts on the day of the creation of the Telangana state i.e. 2nd June. The new districts may come into existence on the day of Dusserah.
