While new formation day of TS was being celebrated on Thursday, OU remained tense with students directing much ire towards KCR, the CM of TS. The University campus locked down all the day and outsiders were not allowed into the campus.
The OUJAC with sixty different students organisations called for a public meeting in the campus though refused the detention of students, students claimed that students comming from other districts to participate in the public meeting were not allowed and picked up by the police. Students pointed out several promises including one lakh jobs, the lackof VC for OU, lack of appointments for teaching staff has not been so far fulfilled by TRS government.
Congress leaders Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Sridhar babu were arrested when they tried to enter the campus at night in order to participate in the meeting. TTDP working President Revanth Redddy however managed to get into the campus on two wheeler and spoke at the meeting.
