The Telangana Chief Minister Mr. KCR has accorded smart city status in place of Hyderabad. The CM of TS had written to the Centre to consider on giving smart city satus for Karimnagar.
He had also sought Rs 1000 crores for the metro city Hyderabad. However the centre was silent in granting special funds t metro city Hyderabad.
The CM requested the urban development minister Mr. Venkayya Naidu to replace Hyderabad along with Karimnagar in the list of smart cities.
