Sexual harassment in Social Welfare department prevailed tense situation in Telangana Secretariat. Personal Secretary of social welfare secretary Srinivasa Rao was manhandled by colleagues on accusing the latter of harassing women employees.
The irate employees dragged Srinivasa Rao and assaulted him. They said he was harassing employees on issues pertaining to service and leaves. Though he has been warned several times to mend his ways, he continued to harass the employees, they alleged. However, sources revealed that the issue has regional overtones and is being seen as a case of Andhra employees Vs Telangana employees. Srinivasa Rao is from Andhra Pradesh, the sources said.
