Telangana state Assembly seats are likely go up to 225 during the upcoming budget session of Parliament. The center is mullin gover introducing an amendment to bill to increase the total number of assembly seats in the state.
TRS Parliamentary Party Leader AP Jithender on Tuesday called on Union Parliamentary Affairs minister M. Venkaiah Naidu to discuss on the issue. He also held discussions with union law secretary on the technical issues related to the increase in the number of seats.
If the bill gets through the Parliament, it will receive the assent of President of India before getting released as Gazette notification. The Election Commission of India (ECI) is likely to take further steps to notify the increased number of seats following the issuance of the gazette notification.
