Veena and Vani were born at Warangal to Naga and Murali couple in 2003. The twins are fused at skulls but have seperate brains. In 2006 they were shifted to Niloufer Hospital where they have been in a room.

The idea of seperating them has been discussed in 2008 but dropped. Last year Dr.David James consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at London was contacted, but there was a confusion about the expenses that should be paid for the stay and treatment at London.

Now a senior doctor said,”They have beenstaying in the hospital since April 2006. Now, they are 13 years old. and it is not possible for them to continue stayig here. The parents have been told the same and they need to take them back.”

The parents of Veena and Vani requested the doctors to give some time to discuss with their family members and also told that they have neither have experience to take care of the girls  nor financially strong to afford them.

A Niloufer doctor said,”They are looking for some donations and also the help of care givers to look after the twins.”
